So every winter a flame appears in the heart of Georgia Tech's campus. While I'm not entirely sure what its purpose is, I've heard rumors that it is the power plant burning off excess natural gas as they switch fuel sources. Regardless of the reason for this flame, it provides light to the area around it and the noise it makes is unmistakable. I took a picture of campus while the flame was burning last year and thought I'd share it with you.
